Beverly Center

As part of Taubman Centers, Inc.’s unveiling of the reimagined Beverly Center in Los Angeles, Oppna Digital completed the implementation of eight innovative wayfinding directories to enhance the overall guest experience.

The wayfinding platform was designed to complement Beverly Center’s new contemporary design and ambiance. The software solution includes a tailored user interface, advanced analytics, interactive mapping, text to phone capabilities, and numerous consumer-friendly features.

Beverly Center’s new intuitive digital directories enable guests to quickly navigate a route to their favorite spots to shop and dine. Along with the implementation of the wayfinding directories, our team was committed to providing superior service and support, while keeping the guest experience at the forefront of the overall design.

IKEA

The typical IKEA store houses 10,000 products and its stores are laid out in a way to weave consumers through a maze of rooms showcasing collections of furnishings. The IKEA store in Dubai, UAE was desirous of a way to engage their customers via interactive wayfinding, allowing shoppers to locate departments, as well as specific products.

Oppna Digital went to work to design a solution that would enable the thousands of products to be searchable individually, by category and by department. Additionally, the design was to remain consistent with the IKEA look and feel.

Today, several personalized wayfinding kiosks are found throughout the Dubai store location and offer shoppers the ability to access information in multiple languages.

Los Angeles Healthcare Facility

Oppna Digital had the pleasure of working with a major metro area hospital system in Los Angeles that serves more than 1 million patients each year in over 40 locations, with more than 4,500 physicians and nurses and 1,500 research projects in motion. Having seen our great work at a nearby mall, we were pleased to partner with their team to develop a wayfinding solution that leveraged personalized kiosks and a mobile strategy.

The open architecture of the main entrance to the main hospital draws visitors to the kiosk with a large format video wall, also designed and deployed by Oppna. Combined with personalized kiosks with privacy screens for patients and visitors to locate their destination in a few clicks, users are also able to find Events.

Our work with this hospital has expanded to additional areas of their main campus, helping thousands of patients and visitors on a daily basis.

Minneapolis St. Paul Airport

The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport has been awarded Best Airport in North America for multiple years and features more than 100 shops, restaurants, and services, including local favorites and national brands.

With all of these options, MSP executives needed a way to update their current digital wayfinding to include new mapping, new search features, and a design centered on user experience.

Oppna Digital listened. Our team custom-developed a solution with intelligent routing and short-cut buttons to help harried travelers expedite the route to their gates. For those with time to spare, the interactive digital displays provide a convenient way to view menus, pricing, and directions to a variety of dining, retail, and entertainment options, as well as key amenities such as ground transportation, ATMs, restrooms, and more.

Saks Fifth Avenue

Saks Fifth Avenue was seeking an enterprise partner to provide a digital interactive wayfinding solution for their flagship store in Manhattan. The solution needed to be scalable to seamlessly apply to other store locations. The goal was to improve the guest experience, providing them with visibility to the ten-story store (which appears from the street to be only three levels) via a very intuitive application to search for brands throughout the store. Saks wanted the solution to continue to evolve with developing technologies and be dependable, while minimizing downtime and maintenance requirements.

Oppna Digital proposed a customized solution to meet these goals, deliver simplified support management and reduce total cost of ownership for Saks Fifth Avenue. Today numerous sleek, custom kiosks are found in the NYC and Beverly Hills locations, with plans to expand to other store locations.

Oppna Digital consulted with, designed and installed a custom wayfinding solution. The application can be found on more than 100 kiosks sprinkled throughout the property in easy-to-find locations where guests are able to easily map to any destination, offer feedback and even take the navigation with them via QR code scan to their mobile device. For consumers that desire to plan their visit in advance, that same Oppna Digital custom mapping solution is also accessible on the American Dream website.

Community Colleges

Dakota County Technical College & Inver Hills Community Colleges have thousands of new students each year who have no familiarity with the two campuses, located nine miles apart. Oppna Digital designed a branded wayfinding solution for each campus that is accessible on personalized 22” kiosks placed strategically throughout the two campuses.

In addition to offering navigation to classrooms and other essentials like restrooms, dining and the Admissions office, the wayfinding kiosks also help students and visitors locate events and staff offices.

Union Depot

Union Depot is a historic building on the St Paul, MN Mississippi riverfront covering 33 acres. When its executives decided it was necessary to overhaul their signage, they quickly pinpointed two key aspects that would be needed for the revamp.

The first was multiple types of digital signage solutions, including stationary wayfinding kiosks, mobile wayfinding kiosks (to be placed around the facility for a variety of different events), advertising screens, and train/bus schedule screens. These all needed to fit the historical aesthetic of the space. There were also outdoor train and bus platforms requiring outdoor hardware.

Along with the various hardware needed, Union Depot also wanted a content management system tailored for its own needs that would be intuitive and easy to use. Our team listened carefully and developed a variety of digital solutions to resolve every need of the client.

With the help of various partners, we were able to develop six stationary wayfinding kiosks, two free-moving wayfinding kiosks, six advertising screens, and 15 screens used to display the train and bus schedules at Union Depot. Every single one of the 29 solutions is managed on one customized content management system built specifically for the client and its business objectives.
