And the Survey Says… It’s All About the Visitor
We asked TouchSource customers two simple questions. The answers spoke volumes. Our customers care deeply about the people who walk through their doors—tenants, guests, patients, and partners—and are using digital signage to elevate that experience.
What stood out? The top benefits weren’t operational or technical—they were emotional. Our customers are using digital signage to make life easier, more welcoming, and less stressful for everyone who steps inside.
What Property Managers Care About Most
The amazing people behind your favorite buildings are focused on one thing—people. They want to make your visit easier, smoother, and more intuitive. That’s where TouchSource comes in. Our digital signage helps simplify wayfinding, share important updates, and offer a better experience without added burden for busy teams.
Here’s what they told us:
- Convenient for guests to get information – 56%
- Less stressful for visitors to find where they’re going – 50%
- Easier to manage the building – 35%
- Promoting services and events – 24%
- Corporate communications – 7%
Based on a 2-question survey of 300 customers, with a 26.3% response rate.
While there are many challenges facing property teams—captured nicely in a NAIOP post Ten Challenges Facing Commercial Real Estate in 2025—landing and keeping tenants clearly tops on the list. This is a clear message from building teams: people matter. After years of uncertainty, today’s property managers are shaping a return-to-office experience that connects people to each other, to their mission, and to the places they spend time. Digital signage—done right—helps create that meaningful sense of place.
More Than a Digital Sign: It’s Your Swiss Army Knife for Building Engagement
Customers who’ve taken advantage of more advanced features use it for self-guided leasing tours, tenant surveys and promote local businesses.
Among the other responses we received, we heard that advanced users took advantage of TouchSource’s flexible signage software for: digital advertisements, promoting spaces available to lease, tenant satisfaction surveys, and letting visitors into the building using virtual receptionist and concierge features:
- Virtual leasing tours for walk-in prospects
- Promoting nearby small businesses
- Running tenant surveys
- Hosting digital advertisements
- Welcoming guests with virtual reception features
TouchSource signage is evolving into a central hub for engagement, information, and smart building operations because we partner with customers to solve business challenges that matter.
What Building Managers Are Focused on in 2025
We also asked our customers about their top priorities for the year. Here’s what they said:
- Retain current tenants – 28%
- Enhance visitor satisfaction – 26%
- Lease available spaces – 18%
- Make building updates/renovations – 9%
- Optimize building operations – 9%
Retention and satisfaction are top of mind. And for good reason—happy tenants and guests drive long-term value.
Leasing is still a major focus, and many customers told us they love using TouchSource to help with it. Virtual tours and leasing info can now be displayed automatically—no front desk needed. Busy property teams can’t always be at the desk for those drop-in visitors. So, having information on the spaces available—including floor plans, suites, NNN—included as a virtual tour on the directory can enable building to capture interest and leads. That’s a big help when managing unplanned visits.
Customers also told us that they’re renovating and modernizing—and our signage helps them showcase those changes, notify tenants of construction updates, and deliver a polished, contemporary feel in the lobby. Many said that having our technology in the lobby helped them showcase improvements, construction notices, and generally made the building look modern.
In a market flooded with empty office space, small details make a big difference. Upscale, digital-first lobbies send a signal: This building is current. It’s thriving. It’s ready for what’s next. Tenants like it. It send the right impression to their clients and employees. Especially for buildings that do more than basic content on the directory, the screens can wow visitors with background art, dynamically-rotating content and interactive content access.
