Solutions Engineer

The Solutions Engineer is a customer focused and technically adept position joining our Technical Services team within Operations. This role serves as the critical bridge between our customers, Support, and Development teams for custom software, integrations, feature requests, and unique configurations. The Solutions Engineer is responsible for gathering and documenting technical requirements, coordinating with internal resources for implementation, managing the release of custom solutions, and providing ongoing support for those solutions.
Qualifications:
Custom Solution Ownership
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for customer-specific software requests, integrations, and advanced configurations.
- Create SOWs and pricing for custom work.
- Document technical requirements and user stories to support Development efforts.
- Support Development in managing 3rd party service providers for these projects.
- Manage internal coordination, testing, and release planning for customer-specific customizations.
- Oversee customer communication throughout the implementation and release lifecycle.
Support and Maintenance
- Provide Tier 3 support for deployed customizations, including diagnostics and issue resolution.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for each active customization and associated workflows.
- Ensure continuity of support and scalability for unique customer implementations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Development team to ensure clarity of scope and feasibility of customer requests.
- Partner with Customer Success and Sales during the scoping of technical opportunities and support sales and delivery efforts involving integrations or new features.
- Support the Product team by identifying repeatable custom solutions that could inform future roadmap decisions.
Training and Escalations
- Serve as an internal subject matter expert on advanced software functionality and configuration.
- Assist in resolving escalated support cases that require deep product knowledge or coordination across teams.
- Lead training sessions for the Support team on new features, custom workflows, and advanced troubleshooting.
Workflow & Tools
- Use Salesforce and Jira to track support cases, custom work, and development tasks.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal support workflows and documentation standards.
- Communication throughout the implementation and release lifecycle.
