The Business Analyst is a strategic partner to Operations and Finance, responsible for advanced analytics, reporting, and business process improvement. This role leverages cutting-edge AI and business intelligence tools to deliver actionable insights, automate workflows, and drive operational excellence across the organization.

Essential Functions:
Metrics and Reporting
- Use various data sources and business intelligence tools to create metrics and dashboards.
- Bring together data from a variety of sources and systems. Create tools and processes for the data to be normalized and stored in formats that are reportable and cross-referenceable.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
Data and Financial Analysis
- Create ad hoc analyses and reports as requested.
- Develop analytical models using BI tools, programming, and AI platforms.
- Present complex analyses and recommendations to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
Automations and Improvements
- Establish a consistent cadence to maintain regular reports. Automate this updating where possible.
- Create new business processes related to reports and metrics. Identify areas for improvements in both processes and business results.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Applied Mathematics, or related field
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel (this will be tested)
- Experience with databases and BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI and AWS Quicksite
- Ability to write SQL queries and configure APIs to extract, transform, and load data
- Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages for data analysis
- Understanding of finance and accounting data and reporting
- Knowledge of ERP software (e.g. QuickBooks, NetSuite) and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Hubspot)
- Experience with AI platforms. A daily user of AI models, agents, and AI automation tools
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate analytical results to a non-technical audience.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic and office equipment. This is a hybrid role located in Lafayette CO. To ensure good relationships and communication, the employee must be in-person in the office a minimum of 2 days per week plus attendance at additional in-person meetings as required.
