CareMount Medical Embraces Waiting Room Marketing Screens and Digital Directories
CareMount Medical is the premier multi-specialty medical group in New York State. The group is guided by a simple mission – to provide the best possible care in a patient-centered and compassionate environment, while at the same time making that care accessible and affordable for patients close to home. CareMount is known for its best-in-class providers and its innovative service delivery. That innovative service delivery includes offering digital platforms, such as an online self-scheduling of appointments, virtual visits and virtual urgent care, and its patient portal. So, when it came time to upgrade its signage, going digital was a natural choice.
TouchSource Solutions/Results:
CareMount has a steady stream of patients coming through its buildings, and its directories are in constant use. Any time a change was needed their static directories/signs required a person on-site to make a manual fix. CareMount needed a directory solution that could be quickly and easily updated remotely.
Installing digital directories that aligned with its innovative service delivery was an added benefit. In addition to providing wayfinding information on the location of different departments and services, the directories can be used to provide timely messaging on CareMount locations and services, such as hours/service changes. Ultimately, CareMount installed 33 digital directories in key campuses.
“Ease of use with the directories has been so helpful in updating the location of our valued clinical providers- especially during the pandemic when services were being offered in different locations,” said Regina Guadagnolo, Director of Materials Management at CareMount Health Solutions. “The digital directories have been worth their weight in gold in directing both patients and staff.”
On a larger scale, CareMount installed 110+ TouchSource Keystone monitors and displays in patient-facing spaces and waiting rooms used to relay health and marketing information. The screens display completely custom content about new providers and services available, health and wellness tips, and updates on topics such as COVID-19. Videos and slideshows are utilized, and content is refreshed constantly by the marketing team through the TouchSource platform.
“Both the directory and waiting room digital screens have had a great impact on not only the look of our offices but in the fact that we now have another tool to push out information quickly to our patients. The ability to customize content by location is key so that we can target messaging to the right areas. Patients and staff alike enjoy our own version of “CareMount TV”. Overall, the project has been very successful,” said Gina D’Angelo-Mullen, Director of Marketing and Communications, CareMount Health Solutions.
