The Subscriptions AR Accountant will support the operational and accounting backbone of our subscription renewal process. This role is responsible for improving data quality, ensuring accurate invoicing, and building durable processes for ongoing subscription management. This position is temporary, with a key deliverable of enabling our Renewals Manager to take over a clean and well-documented system.

Essential Functions:

  • Audit and clean up subscription records in systems such as Maxio, QuickBooks, and Salesforce.
  • Evaluate and modify existing processes for maintaining accurate subscription data, pricing, and renewal terms.
  • Identify process gaps and implement controls to prevent future data issues.
  • Coordinate with Accounting, Renewals, Customer Success and Support to reconcile discrepancies and historical data issues.
  • Generate and distribute accurate invoices and renewal notices.
  • Document procedures and train the Renewals Manager on ongoing workflows.
  • Success defined as: Clean and reportable data, and effective processes that have been handed off to the Renewals team to manage.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years experience at a Manager level in subscription billing, SaaS accounting, or AR in a technology company.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Maxio, QuickBooks, Salesforce, or comparable platforms.
  • Strong data analysis and reconciliation skills; experience with invoice generation and billing workflows.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a track record of improving or implementing billing operations.

Terms & Conditions:

  • Initial contract term: 3–4 months, with the goal of full process handoff to internal Renewals Manager by end of term.
  • 40 hrs/wk during regular business hours. Must provide verification of hours worked.
  • Reports to: CFO and COO.
  • In office 1-2X week, remote other days. Candidate should be in the Denver/Boulder area.
  • Compensation: Hourly rate $30-50/hr (based on experience)

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $30.00 – $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
